Randy Pausch passed away on 25th July 2008... yes... friday.. yest morning...

i m so sad... he was such a good lecturer...

bren introduced me to watch this video of Randy Pausch: The Last Lecture.... she cried like rain storm... i din.. but.. yes.. i felt sad...

Randy Pausch was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer... he had only months to live when he gave this last lecture at Carnegie Mellon University...

there is a tradition for Carnegie Mellon University... that is to give a hypothetical "final talk/ last lecture" i.e... "what wisdom would you try to impart to the world if you knew it was your last chance?"

Randy Pausch's last lecture was abt "Really achieving your childhood dreams"... here's the link... http://www.cmu.edu/homepage/multimedia/randy-pausch-lecture.shtml... the whole video is a little over an hour... long.. but worth watching and listening to wad he said...

there was a lot of quote i like in the lecture... here's a few...

"Brick walls are there for a reason : they let us prove how badly we want things."

""...when you see yourself doing something badly and nobody's bothering you to tell you anymore, that's a very bad place to be. Your critics are the ones telling you they still love you and care."

"Work and play well with others. Tell the truth, Apologize (properly), Wait and people will show their good side."

Both bren and i agreed that he was a very good lecturer and the lecture was very very meaningful...

haiz.. sadz...
